MYKONOS 4 days

Mykonos is known for its summer party atmosphere. It is famous for the cosmopolitan atmosphere, the exciting nightlife, the picturesque Cycladic architecture, and the magnificent beaches, which make holidays in Mykonos an unforgettable experience. Beaches such as Paradise and Super Paradise with massive dance clubs attract world-renowned DJs and typically stay open well past dawn. Iconic landmarks include a row of windmills, which sit on a hill above Mykonos town.

DAY 1

  • Arrive in Mykonos and transfer to your hotel.

  • If time permits, discover Mykonos Town before you dive deeper into its summer party atmosphere.

  • Read more about the beaches and tips about Mykonos.

  • Explore by walking through the narrow cobblestoned alleys and lose yourself in traditional or gourmet food in family-run tavernas or eateries. Definitely an impressive abundance of shops and cafes.

  • The best way to get around is by Uber, Aegean taxi, or bus, which connects many towns and attractions.

    • Motor vehicles are banned in Chora (town), so people walk everywhere. Don’t rent a car if you’re staying in town —
Parking is limited and fills by 10:00 AM in the summer at the lots. If you’re not used to narrow, one-lane cliff roads, definitely skip renting a car.

DAYS 2 and 3

Discover Mykonos:

  • Start the day by visiting the beautiful beaches. Depending on what you like, there is fashionable Elia, serene Lia, or cosmopolitan Kalo Livadi beach.

  • Treat yourself to lunches or cocktails at Solymar (located at Livadi beach), a beach club eatery tucked on a pristine strip of golden sand.

  • Platis Gialos is one of the most popular beaches of the island. It fills up quickly with thousands of people during the summertime who are attracted by the golden sand and the stunning turquoise crystalline waters.

  • Venture to the upbeat, famous Super Paradise and Paradise beaches and their jet-setters and celeb-favored bars.

    • Here, legendary Mykonian parties take place.

  • Ftelia beach: If the loudness and liveliness of a bar/beach is not your style, and you prefer quiet/peaceful time with friends or family members, then Ftelia is definitely a hidden gem. Ftelia Bay is on the island’s north coast. It’s the windiest beach and great
    for windsurfers.

  • Summary about the beaches: The best beaches are on the island’s south coast. The south coast is the "pulse" of the island. Here you will find the famous Mykonos energy.

    • North coast beaches are windier—especially in summer—but peaceful and less crowded.

  • Clubbing at Jackie O, or another club of your liking. Go have a blast!

  • Windsurfing - very popular. A great location is Kalafatis Beach. An energetic beach offering an array of water sports.

    • In the summer months from June to September, the wind blows almost all the time.

    • Local outfits offer beginner courses at reasonable prices.

  • In Mykonos town, stroll down to [Little Venice], one of the most photographed landmarks, for drinks while admiring one of the most beautiful sunsets, and dine at popular Kastro or Bao’s– both providing exceptional sea views and an enchanting atmosphere.

    • The vibe shifts from relaxed sunset cocktails to a high-energy,
club-like scene with DJs playing upbeat hits as night falls.
